2nd Reinforcing Draft

In the late summer of 1915, the 52nd Battalion was still training at the outskirts of Port Arthur. It was at this time that Colonel Hay was again required to provide a draft of approximately 250 troops to act as reinforcements for the 1st and 2nd Divisions already in Europe.  After arriving in England in October of 1915 the 2nd Reinforcing Draft continued their training at Shorncliffe before being sent off to their new battalions.
